Tyrenisha James

Tyrenisha James is a 23-year-old writer and poet with a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. In April 2023, she was recognized for her writing abilities and awarded the NSU-Argus Award for Excellence in Creative Writing. Her poetry can be seen in independent magazines, Brown Sugar Literary Magazine, and Swim Press. In addition to her poetry, Tyrenisha enjoys writing journalistic articles and has 3 years of experience writing as an Editor and Reporter for her university's student-led newspaper, The Current Sauce. When Tyrenisha is not writing she loves to bake and to attend concerts.
